Tesla Model 3 Photoshoot with Niranjan – Creative Automotive Portrait Session
Sometimes the best photography projects begin with a simple conversation. During a casual catch-up with my returning client Niranjan Bandi, he shared some exciting news—he was about to take delivery of his brand-new Tesla Model 3. Like many new owners, he wanted to celebrate the moment and capture the experience with a dedicated photoshoot featuring his new electric vehicle.
As a photographer, I always enjoy creative challenges, but this one came with a unique twist. While I regularly photograph people, incorporating a high-profile car like a Tesla Model 3 as a major visual element added a new dimension to the shoot. It meant carefully balancing automotive photography with portrait storytelling so both the subject and the car could shine.
Planning the Creative Concept
Niranjan and I collaborated closely while planning the session. We discussed themes, possible locations, wardrobe ideas, and the overall visual style we wanted to achieve. Because the Tesla brand is known for its sleek, futuristic design and minimalistic aesthetic, we wanted the images to reflect that same modern feel.
Location scouting was an important part of the process. We looked for environments that would complement the elegant lines of the vehicle while also creating a strong visual connection with Niranjan. Urban settings, open roads, and clean architectural backgrounds were all considered to match the sophisticated style of the car.
Of course, planning outdoor photoshoots always comes with unpredictable factors—especially weather. Over several weeks we had to postpone the shoot multiple times due to rain, scheduling conflicts, and other commitments. While it required patience from both of us, it also gave us additional time to refine the concept and prepare for the final shoot.
Finally Bringing the Vision to Life
Last week, despite a few last-minute challenges, everything finally came together and we were able to proceed with the long-awaited photoshoot. The result was a creative and enjoyable session that allowed us to experiment with different angles, compositions, and lighting techniques.
Working with the Tesla Model 3 as a central element allowed me to explore new approaches in automotive portrait photography. I focused on highlighting the sleek curves of the car while ensuring Niranjan remained the primary subject of the images. By carefully balancing light and reflections, we created images that emphasized both the personality of the owner and the elegance of the vehicle.
Exploring Lighting and Post-Processing
This shoot also gave me the opportunity to experiment with various lighting setups and post-processing techniques. From natural light during golden hour to controlled lighting for dramatic effects, each setup helped create a different mood and visual style.
In post-processing, I focused on enhancing the modern and polished look associated with the Tesla brand while maintaining a natural and authentic feel in the portraits. The final images capture not just a car, but a memorable milestone for Niranjan.
