On June 1st, 2025, I had the incredible honour of photographing Gayatri Jayanti, a spiritually uplifting event organized by Gayatri Pariwar Wellington – New Zealand, held at St. Patrick’s College Hall, Wellington.
This event was more than just a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of unity, devotion, and selfless service. Inspired by the timeless teachings of Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya, the gathering brought together over 300 devotees from diverse walks of life in a shared vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—“The world is one family."
The highlight of the evening was the 1100 Mahadeep Gayatri Yagya, where collective chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, soulful bhajans, and vibrant cultural performances filled the hall with light and spiritual energy. The entire atmosphere was brimming with devotion and divine togetherness, demonstrating how Sanatan values transcend boundaries to bring hearts together.
As a photographer, it was truly moving to witness and document such profound expressions of faith and community spirit. Every moment—from the lighting of the diyas to the collective prayers—was a frame of unity, peace, and love.
The success of this event reflects the tireless efforts of the volunteers, executive members, and supporters who worked behind the scenes to bring Gurudev’s vision to life.
