Last week, I had the honour of photographing a beautiful indoor gender reveal session in Wellington for Pallavi and Vasu. Set in the comfort of their home, this session was all about capturing real emotion in a cosy, heartfelt setting.
With limited space, minimal props, and challenging indoor lighting, it wasn’t the easiest environment to shoot in—but it turned out to be one of my most creatively rewarding sessions to date. By working with the space, using intentional lighting, using a white wall creatively and focusing on storytelling moments, I created a collection of the below images that felt fresh, personal, and completely different from anything I’ve captured before.
Pallavi and Vasu’s energy, love, and excitement made it easy to craft something truly special. Their joy was contagious—and despite the simplicity of the setup, the session was full of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable reactions.
